Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix
PRFM represents a new step in the platelet geltherapeutic concept with simplified processing. Platelets are easily collected from the bloodstream and are concentrated in a small volume of plasma known as platelet rich
plasma (PRP). To this Platelet concentrate, an activator is added which results in the formation of a fibrin network by converting the fibrinogen present in the platelet concentrateto fibrin. PRP is converted to PRFM through a controlled process, creating a scaffold that serves to protect and preserve platelets. It is widely used to accelerate soft and hard tissue healing and is a strictly autologous fibrin matrix containing a large quantity of platelets and leukocyte cytokines.
Fibryn PRFM
Fibryn PRFM utilizes a small volume of blood for the preparation of Platelet Rich- Fibrin Matrix. The kit uses a gel separation technology to simplify the process of collection and preparation of PRFM. Fibryn PRFM is scientifically formulated to produce optimum concentration of superior quality platelets, that is converted to PRFM through a controlled process. The Fibryn PRFM formed holds the growth factors enmeshed in the fibrin network resulting in their sustained release over a period of time that can accelerate the wound healing process.
Fibryn PRFM Kit Components
PrecurCell G-Sep Tube: It is a glass tube containing a separator gel with Acid Citrate Dextrose(ACD)/3.8% Sodium Citrate as anticoagulant.
Fibryn Prep Tube: it is a glass tube containing an activator solution
Fibryn Kit Accessories: The kit includes accessories in addition to the gel separator (G-Sep) and the prep tube, they are:
- Phlebotomy Set
- 5ml and 2ml syringes
- 2.5” needle
- Alcohol swab
- Medical plaster
- Forceps (for removal of PRFM)
