PrecurCell™ PRP for Pain Management
PRP, has become increasingly popular for the treatment of orthopedic injuries and symptomatic pain that results from such injuries.
Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) has been proposed to decrease pain in patients suffering from musculoskeletal injury and osteoarthritis. Regenerative medicine has adopted this therapy for its ability to produce cell proliferation, healing and consequently, pain relief. With the ability to relieve pain, PRP has the potential to change the future of pain management therapies.
PrecurCell ™ PRP when injected promotes a localized inflammatory response, stimulates the migration of mesenchymal cells, increases the level of epithelial cells to the injected area, resulting in collagen formation and consequent osteoblast migration. This effect promotes a pro-healing environment especially in joints and ligaments that normally have limited vascularity. With the promotion of healing, PRP helps to reduce pain and improve function
PrecurCell ™ PRP offers better therapeutic benefits in pain management;
- Lateral Epicondylitis (Tennis Elbow)
- Rotator Cuff
- Knee injury & Osteoarthritis
- Intervertebral Disc Pain
- Acute Muscle Injury
- Neuropathic Pain
PrecurCell ™ PRP for Trichological Applications
Precurcell PRP is clinically designed to obtain quality Platelet-Rich Plasma that can effectively decelerate trichological problems.PrecurCell PRP offers a better therapeutic option for trichological problems such as Androgenetic alopecia, Alopecia areata, Hair thinning and improve the quality of hair.
PRP in Androgenetic alopecia (AGA)
The Growth factors produced upon injecting the platelets obtained using PrecurCell PRP act on stem cells present in the bulge area of the follicles, stimulatingthe new follicular development and promotion of neovascularization.
Various modes of PRP therapy in AGA
- Interfollicular PRP injection- an amount of 0.05–0.1 ml/cm2, in a retrograde fashion from deep to superficial, at distance of a centimeter, throughout the treated site
- PRP mesotherapy- microneedling with a roller of 1–1.5 mm long needles followed by interfollicular PRP injections (or using mesogun) over the treated area, and later, PRP is sprayed on top of the scalp and left overnight. It is usually repeated at an interval of 1–3 months.
- PRP as an adjunct to hair transplantation- a) The follicular grafts are dipped into PRP for about 15 min, before implantation to increase their rate of survival following implantation, b) PRP is injected into the recipient area of scalp before or just after graft implantation, c) PRP is injected in and around the donor strip excision line, in follicular unit transplantation (FUT), to decrease bleeding, stimulation of wound healing and reduction of scarring.
PrecurCell ™ PRP for Dermatological applications
Dermal scarring due to acne, surgeries etc. and loss of skin elasticity due to premature ageing are resilient dermatological issues. Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy is a minimally invasive, hassle-free procedure that can regenerate tissue and restore skin elasticity.
PrecurCell ™ is a scientifically formulated kit used for dermatological applications, capable of obtaining optimal concentration of superior quality platelets from whole blood.
These platelets containing alpha granules then subsequently release growth factors such as TGF-ß, EGF, FGF, PDGF, VEGF etc. required for healing for scars. Plasma of the concentrate obtained is rich in vitamins, hormones and necessary growth factors required for tissue regeneration.
PrecurcellPRP offers a better therapeutic option for dermatological problems such as:
- Post-acne atrophic scars
- Skin Rejuvenation
- Non-surgical face lifts
- Burns
PrecurCell ™ PRP in the treatment of Infertility
Thin Endometrium Management :
Implantation failure is considered one of the major challenges facing clinicians. Adequate endometrial thickness is a chief factor for implantation and pregnancy. Women who have persistent thin endometrium often do not go through embryo transfer. The thin endometrium may result from several causes or could be idiopathic.
The adequate thickness of the endometrium is essential to accomplish a successful pregnancy. Recently, clinicians have started applying autologous PRP to aid the growth of endometrial lining. Because of the high concentration of platelets and presence of growth factors PRP is a potential therapy to promote growth and proliferation of endometrium.
Treatment of Erectile Dysfunction:
Erectile dysfunction (ED), one of the most frequently reported medical conditions in men, is defined as the chronic inability to achieve or sustain a penile erection. Many risk factors for ED exist including age, coronary artery disease, obesity, smoking, depression, hypertension, prior pelvic surgery, and spinal cord injuries as well as other psychological variables. Recently, clinicians have started using PRP injections as an alternative for ED treatment. Intracavernosal injection of PRP is done for the improvement in erectile function.
PrecurCell ™ PRP offers a better therapeutic option for thin endometrium management and in the treatment of erectile dysfunction since it achieves maximum recovery of platelets from a small volume of whole blood. The platelet concentration is about 4-4.5 times the concentration of normal platelet levels. These high concentrations of PRP contain cytokines and growth factors including: vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), transforming growth factor (TGF), platelet-derived growth factor (PDGF) and epidermal growth factor (EGF).
